Well, me and about 1800 other people. ;-) He's the featured speaker at the banquet opening the state Democratic Convention tomorrow. Still, I'm telling everyone I'm having dinner with the REAL President!

4. No, this was the banquet before the state convention
at the Sheraton in Tacoma. His speech was phenomenal - fiery, passionate, funny - and I only caught him even glancing at his notes once during a 45-minute speech. Kind of a switch from the dimwit squatting in the White House, who can't wipe his ass without a teleprompter and an earpiece, and still manages to mangle anything that comes out of his mouth.

I wish Gore had shown this kind of personality in the 2000 election. He had bad advisers in that campaign, very bad. Had he shown this kind of passion and humor then, we'd have had a very different world these last three and a half LOOOONG years.

5. All that and more!
If there had been time for questions, you should have asked about that Al Gore fellow running for president in 2000. "Who are you and what did you do with that other Al Gore?"

6. That sounds so great
I would really have loved to have been there. Damn the fact that I moved and could no longer be a delegate! :argh:

Good for you!! And good, good, good for Al - a true American patriot!

8. I did!
See post #4. He was phenomenal. I did not go up and shake his hand, though - so many people were doing that that they finally had to ask people to stop it and let the poor fellow eat his dinner!
