Families NW, the perception of tolerance
Did anyone see the full page ad in Seattle Times, page A17 from Families Northwest? They give this perception that all families are valued...but from reading further, here is the rhetoric they spew, in the name of "how will redefining marriage affect children"?

"The experience of other countries should make us leery of conducting social experiments on marriage. Five Dutch scholars recently rated "serious concerns" from same sex marriages....Redefining the meaning of marriage weakens its social value and fewer couples - gay or straight - choose to value it or even take part in it"

"...Therefore we must work to create a future where more children are raised in a home with their married mom and dad"

First they give the illusion that gay people are part of the equation, then the slam dunk, marriage is OK for children IF the parents are a heterosexual couple. What a pile of bullshit.

Ex-football player Jeff Kemp is the executive director for this group of bigots.

1. If these people had their druthers ....
gays would be rounded up, put into camps and thrown into ovens. They won't say that's what they want, but I've heard some of these fundamentalistwackos in ungaurded moments say just that.

3. Homosexuals have nothing to do with weakening marriage
Heterosexuals are the ones who have devalued marriage. Divorce has become easy to obtain, and there is no shame in having a child out of wedlock. If these conservatives are so concerned about marriage, maybe they should address some of these issues.

4. Oh, that would be too easy...
And some of these problems are probably too close to home for some of those types.
