4. Instead of war...
We prefer a good day of fishing! :-)

(And watching the ViQueens and "Da Bears" get stomped by The Pack.)

6. My next door neighbor hangs a Vikings flag on his porch rail every week
I keep telling him they are the Spawn of Satan and he will burn in fiery torment forever and ever, but he chooses not to believe me.

I don't want to say God has favorites, but what do you suppose that "G" on the Packer helmets stands for, anyway? Hmmmmmm? Coincidence??? I think NOT!

25. Favre won't retire.
He'll die on the 50-yard line at Lambeau after throwing a hail mary pass for a touchdown. :-)

14. There are liberals in Waukesha?
Didn't Waukesha make a list of some of the most liberal-unfriendly cities in the country list?

Then again, maybe you work for the UW Waukesha or Carrol (My Dad's Alma Mater).

15. My county had something like the second-highest percentage vote
Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 12:38 PM by eyesroll
for Bush in 2000, for any county its size in the entire country. (Small rural counties with 200 residents don't count. We're a big county.)

The city itself isn't too bad -- there actually are a few Democrats on my street.

I live right next to Carroll College, but I don't work there. We didn't actually consider politics at all when we moved, but we were happy to see all of the Gore signs on our block in 2000.

21. Somebody should take a poll
I probably wouldn't vote for Madison, as it's not closest to me. I would travel for a good DU party though schedule permitting.

22. ewagner has been talking about trying to arrange something
for DUers in the middle part of the state. Perhaps that would be much closer for a get-together. Another thought would be to have 3 or 4 regional parties or wait for a political event like Fighting Bob Fest to gather around.

23. How about Stevens Point?
It's pretty centrally located, and I'm moving there at the end of August, It's a fun place to party (especazilly The Square), The city is prety fiercly Democrat, I think it would be a great place to have a get-together.

17. Dubya is a Uniter...
He even united (progressive) FIBs and the residents of Wisconsn. It's a miracle! You are welcome here!

Of course seeing a big ole Cadillac Escalade with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker traveling at 85 mph up highway 51 on its way to some overpriced lake home is still an incredibly offensive sight.

19. See, I never speed in your fair state.
So those GOP Escalades can get all the tickets you guys want to hand out. Of course, I usually come up there in the winter to snowboard or ski, so it would be stupid to speed with all the ice and snow.

I love you guys. It's Indiana I can't stand.
