Anyone from Wisco going to the Sept. 24th march? |
I got an email about the busses and am trying to talk my aunt into joining me. Just wondering who else might be going? I'm off work that weekend and would really like to attend.

1. I'm going to be doing other things that weekend. |
I'll most likley be shooting footage for my news magazine at a local agility dog competition that weekend.
However, I'm sure there'll be some sort of vigil going on in Stevens Point that day. I might participate in something like that.

3. Are you doing that UFPJ bus deal? |
Whole weekend, or a day? I'm not sure I can do the whole weekend. The day trip might be more up my alley.

4. I'm not sure if it's a UFPJ bus... |
It's the one being coordinated by Peace Action WI. I'm going for the whole weekend. I figure as long as I'm going, I might as well make it worth my while.

5. D'oh, that's right! I got the email from UFPJ, but running thru |
Peace Action. That sounds great. I'm still trying to talk my aunt to hop the bus in EC. With any luck at all, it's the same one trekking through Madison and then to Milwaukee. Would be a bummer to get her to do this and then not sit together the whole trip.

9. bring extra water, and tylenol pm for the ride back |
you'll want something to help with the cramps in your back / neck from trying to sleep in a bus. it will be a lot better than a school bus, but it is still a bus. don't forget sunscreen as you may be in the sun a majority of the time, and bring your best walking shoes. if you have access to a cell phone bring it, and get numbers of others who are on your bus. you will likely seperate, and not all walk in the same group. there will be literally thousands of buses there, and it might take some work to find your bus despite what your bus driver says.

12. i'm skipping this one |
my last trip was in Feb before the Iraq invasion began. my comments are from experience, and would rather fly there than take a bus again. Amtrack sounds pretty good, but can't get off that weekend. i'm serious about the tylenol pm (or generic substitute).

7. I'm definitely going on the bus from Madison |
but I haven't decided whether to take the long trip or the shorter one.
I am worried about hotel costs on the longer one and if there isn't somewhere comfortable to sleep this will be exhausting.
