Milwaukee has a chapter of Drinking Liberally!
We're on for second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 7 pm, at Club Garibaldi in Bay View.

We're just waiting for word back from DL HQ (http://www.drinkingliberally.org) and we'll be on the map. I will be hosting, along with a couple of other bloggers, but this is open to everyone!

(And you don't actually have to drink, liberally or otherwise, to attend Drinking Liberally.) We'll be sending out some press releases and sending notice to our various mailing lists...

I hope to see everyone at our inaugural meeting on the 14th of September!

2. I've actually never been there either...
It's more neighborhood tavern than hopping club, but it's easy to get to (right off the Hoan Bridge) and inexpensive.

We'll be trying this out and if it works, we'll keep it there; if it doesn't work, we'll look for another venue.

Hope to see you there!

3. It was a mildly hopping place to see bands in the mid-80s'.
But you're right, it's really just a nice neighborhood pub with a party hall in the back.

4. The Palomino accross the street would be an equally good choice
$2 Guinesses on Wednesdays, plus a great menu for meat lovers and vegans / vegetarians. Either way I look forward to meeting likeminded liberals.

6. We kicked around Palomino for awhile, but thought CG might be
better able to accommodate a group that could be 8 people, could be 80. Palomino could be a great pre-event dinner venue, though, for those who want to! (I probably won't do that the first time around -- I'll be dealing with all of the other stuff for DL -- but I'm sure I'll make it at some point!)

See you there!
