1. I don't have tickets...

I'm unemployed. But I heard Bob Weir tell Al Franken that they register voters at their shows. Since I'm a voter registrar in Milwaukee and three other neighboring communities, I'm trying to find out how I can volunteer to help.

Looks like they have a fairly organized group that is doing the registering at the shows. You may want to try and contact them.

Too late for the Dead show last weekend - was it good? - but I'm sure they'll have plenty of other opportunities for me between now and November. Thanks for the tip, Viking!

Dave will be back in October too!!!

The Dead show was really good and I got a chance to talk with several of the Headcount volunteers. They were working the parking lot hard and were having a good time too!

You should join us. It's easy to become a deputy voter registrar. Do it for your own community if nothing else. And if that community's the City of Milwaukee, Peace Action offers a quick 1-hour workshop. See http://www.peaceactionwi.org, and scroll down. Looks like the next one's scheduled for next Thursday.
