BRUTAL LTTE in today's paper
I don't know the person who wrote this but they get a big "atta boy!" from me. Here's a snippet:

In a scene eerily reminiscent of Charlotte in "Gone with the Wind," in the scene of the wounded and displaced after the sacking of Atlanta, Barbara Bush toured the Astrodome remarking how this was probably better than what they, the underprivileged, were used to. I can paraphrase Prissy: "Oh, Miss Barbara, I don' know nuthin' 'bout treadin' no water."

It gets even better!

2. Excellent reply! Let's see what the response to Rita is -- because
it's clear he's running out of options.

This morning's news has been depressing. Cable TV carried a discussion with an energy expert who gave the gravest outlook on possible HUGE price increases, maybe even $5.00 a gallon for gas OR MORE. None of the oil companies have ever faced something like this.

Worse, there could be shortages of gas. Shades of the 1970s for those of us who remember it.

And now, still gridlock on Texas highways. Unbelievable!

4. Nice LTTE

IIRC, this is a DUer, but I won't out them. ;)

And knowing the editorial quality of this newspaper, they probably changed Scarlett to Charlotte. These people put more errors into LTTE's than any newspaper I've ever seen, even when it's supposed to be a simple cut and paste exercise from an e-mail.
