Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 03:08 PM by sybylla
Storm heading for Clark, Wood and Marathon

This is October, right?

I'd better dig my police scanner and weather radio out.

2. Does this mean it's moving
Northeast? (Isn't that the wrong direction? Don't most of them here move Southeast?)

3. No, I meant the line of storms is moving in on central WI
The front seems to be moving south but mostly east. Though looking at radar for the last half hour, it doesn't seem to be moving at all. The storm that caused the tornado warning is still hovering over the same place in Jackson County.

But I have to disagree with your hypothesis on storms. While the fronts often sweep southeast, the storms seem to move along the front to the north east. Almost all of the summer storms that hit me near Marshfield come from LaCrosse or Eau Claire, moving north east or straight east - rarely coming down from the north. I say this because the majority of the time, I am forced to tune into the Eau Claire media to find out what's coming.

4. I'm in Kenosha, and most that come this way are from the
Madison area. Usually misses us and goes over the lake...although there have been some in the fall that come from Illinois. (They usually miss us and go over the lake too...)
