Okay the weather can get colder now
My son will arrive back in Florida after a one week vacation back in his home state of Wisconsin.

He brought the warm weather from Florida with him. He admitted to me that he forgot to close the door when he left Florida and allowed the unseasonably hot weather follow him up to Wisconsin. He's back in Florida now and assured me that he would "close the door" as soon as he got home and we could once again enjoy our beautiful fall temps....

8. Do you have the rain now Ed ?
Please, please, send it a little south. All the moisture has missed us the last few days. The weather channel has said 80%, then 70%, and today 60% chance of rain for us and so far zilch.

It's spotty though...

just looked at radar...we're out of it for now but it looks like there's another band forming in Iowa and moving NE pretty quickly.

Here's a link for NOAA Radar...enjoy it until Santorum gets it taken away....

12. 10 to 15 inches in Minot, 40 mph winds. Heavy wet snow - with drifting.
So yeah, blizzard conditions. Helps keep the crime rate down.

2. And I got my new Wood Stove bought and moved into the house
The old propane tank is full -- but who the hell will be able to refill it as winter really sets in. The mountainside here is covered with pinon trees that died off two years ago -- all I have to do is cut and split and haul.

4. DAMN! I was hoping Pittsburgh would cool off
But if it's still hot in your area, we've got at least another day or two of this heat.:puke:

I LIKE 4 SEASONS, not hot then freezing. The leaves aren't even changing yet.

14. Four seasons
Growing up in the Midwest, I listened for years to my Mother telling us how much she loved the four seasons. Finally, I replied, "But Mom, none of the seasons are any good."

than shorts one day, blizzard the next.

While I love spring and certainly enjoy most of summer, Fall is my favorite season and I'm worried I'll be cheated out of it this year.

I still have gardens that need cleaning up and pots to store. It seems I'm perennially doing this last minute wearing gloves and a coat in freezing rain. The one year I plan on getting to it earlier, and I'm doomed to do it in freezing rain or even snow.

15. Haven't cleanod out
my garden yet....probably this weekend.

I have a lot of yellow squash gordes still in the garden...the plants were very prolific this year...I don't think I'll be able to look at another yellow squash until next summer...maybe.

16. I'll take a good freeze. I've had it with these blasted flies
all over the house and the barn. They are driving the horses nuts. Frankly, I am ready for fall. It was a hot and stressful summer. I'm ready for some relaxation.

17. Did everyone enjoy Fall last night?
I think it lasted from about 12 am - 1 am around here.

Yesterday, I wore shorts to work.
Today, I wore my winter coat.
Gotta love it...
