Waukesha County Dems, Dwyer must be our guy |
|
as Mark Belling is trashing him.
That's a good enough endorsement for me.
Mark called him a leftie, but then Mark's pretty far right, so I guess he would see a moderate as a left.
Meanwhile, at the debate on Saturday, I thought Dwyer had a good point about cutting the County Supervisors positions down to part time. Less oversight means the County Exec will have more power, and we could get into an Ament situation. But Vrakas is like Walker, he just wants to cut everything in sight.

1. If you guys could put in Dwyer you would stymie RW extremists |
|
But I don't really think you have a chance. Waukesha is one of the most conservative counties in the country, and it _was_ the republican county with the highest reported turnout of registered republicans in the country.

2. It's a special election, so I'm hoping for a low turnout |
|
if we can be more motivated than the other guys to actually bother to vote, it would be nice.
It's annoying. The position is supposed to be non-partisan, but somehow it's become very partisan.

4. Exactly, now all we have to do is GOTV!! |
|
I think we'll have a chance if we just show up in numbers. These elections tend to have less turnout, don't they?

5. I just got back from voting for Dwyer! |

I heard both of them interviewed on WPR last week-- and hands-down Dwyer was the best! But I would have voted against the other guy anyway. They are predicting as low as a 9% turnout today--so each vote counts for a lot. Here's hoping.
