2. Doyle mentioned that "while people were walking in filthy water.
Oil companies were reaping record profits." Then the audience boos. That was great.

3. Damn! Aren't all the State of whatever speeches supposed to be on at 8?
I just went to tune it in and found I had missed it altogether.

Got a few highlights?

He wants to insure all the kids
He wants cut down on waiting lists for community living facilities so that seniors don't have to stay in nursing homes.
Doyle wants to allow eight grades agree to not get in trouble and maintain a B average in return for guaranteed financial aid. Gard was rather positive, but he did diss Doyle on increasing tuition by 50% in the last four years.
They also had two people from the national guard speak from Kuwait via conference call.

Oh, and I also should correct myself. It was on PBS, not C-SPAN. Silly me. :P

5. Gard should fucking talk about tuition hikes!
It's his motherfuckers in the GOP that have been pushing the tution hikes all along.

7. Tomorrow much of WPR's programming
is devoted to the speech. Doyle will appear briefly on one of the hours. I didn't watch it as I had some papers to correct and am not much on watching speeches (liked some of Bill Clinton's though). I will listen to some of the right-wing cucko spin on the local(WSAU 550AM)radio distortion fest tomorrow.

9. I liked everything except
the Ethanol plan.I'm not really a big fan of corporate welfare, but the rest of his ideas were great.I wish they would launch a alternative energy program, besides ethanol,on a major scale I think we will miss out on alot of industry if we lag behind.
