Extremely stupid LTTE in the Urinal-Sentinel...
http://www.jsonline.com/news/editorials/jan06/386518.asp

Once again, the governor and Democrats are showing their hypocrisy by attacking the company that has done for retail what Henry Ford did for the automobile a century ago, saving the poor millions with lower prices and creating economic development and jobs nationwide.

Despite what Democrats say, Wal-Mart did not cheat its way to the top; it earned it by innovating and improving, just as Ford did by creating the assembly line and the Model-T.

Gov. Jim Doyle attacked a single company, one of the state's largest employers, during his "state of the state" address for not providing its employees with adequate health insurance. He chided Wal-Mart for having employees on BadgerCare.

It is important to remember, however, that Doyle belongs to the Democratic Party, which espouses regularly its belief that health care is a right that should be provided by the government to everyone for free.

This is nothing more than a political cheap shot. The governor is showing he is willing to attack the company that has done more for the poor of this country in the past 20 years than the government of Wisconsin or the United States could ever do. Does Doyle really believe Wisconsin would be better off with thousands fewer jobs and higher prices?

Mr. Governor, leave Wal-Mart alone.

Joseph Blakeman
Milwaukee

Well, Henry Ford and Wal-Mart do have something in common. Both hate unions with a vengance.

1. Ford provided his employees with a lot of perks though.
If I recall, didn't ford provided its own clinics and gym for the employees when they first became successful?

a 10-year-old to see the obvious contradiction in that letter. Here it goes:

1. Doyle is a bad, bad man because he said Wal-Mart was bad because their employees don't make enough and have to be on state-funded health care.
2. Doyle is a bad, bad man because he wants all people to be on state-funded health care.

Well, which one is dumb ass?

I hate stupid people.

4. I have to respond to this letter.
When did we become such a cold, self absorbed nation that we refuse people health care because they can't afford it?This really saddens me that people think because they work they earn rights other people shouldn't have. There's a letter in the press tonight about college tuition basically says the same thing.
