The Wisconsinite (partial vanity post, sorry, but still useful)
As some of you in Madison may have noticed, a startup publishing group began printing a new progressive newspaper, The Wisconsinite, earlier in the year. (It's distributed in Madison, but they eventually intend to have a statewide presence.)

I invite all of you to check it out -- www.wisconsinite.net. I'm not a contributor to the paper, but I think they've got some good stuff. (Warning for work: They do have a sex column.)

<vanity>
While you're there, click "The Vast Dairy State Conspiracy" (or www.wisconsinite.net/dairyconspiracy -- it's linked in my sig too). That's my blog, hosted by the Wisconsinite and sort of psuedo-affiliated. We've been out of comission for a bit, but we're back. (Ugly, and linkless, but we'll get there.) I hope, once I get back into the swing of things, to build an audience and send the message to the rest of the country that Wisconsin's proud progressive tradition isn't dead yet, thank you very much.
</vanity>

Thanks.

1. Question regarding your monthly meetings?
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 10:34 AM by Homer12
When and where are they? I'd like to get involved?

Eyesroll, could you post the information on the Wisconsin state Forum for all to see?

Thanks,

Homer12

2. Which meetings? I'm involved in a couple
MeetUp (formerly Dean for America; now Democracy for America, and we're getting involved in Milwaukee-area races) -- 1st Wednesday of the month; 6 p.m. dinner forum; 7 p.m. meeting. The site varies (dean2004.meetup.com will have info); this month, it's at Long Wong's on Bluemound.

Democratic Party meetings vary by county. I'm involved in the Waukesha County party. Our meetings are the third Wednesday of the month, 7 p.m., at the Waukesha library.

Was there something else in mind?

I am going to start another thread on Democratic Party meetings. Thanks for the suggestion.

3. Thanks for the tips
Good luck with the blog! I write for a living but I don't think I could do that every day.

Nice to see that they just can't keep Progressives down in this state.
