Kerry sign blitz about to start?
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 10:43 PM by rodmant
Today I talked w/one of the Milwaukee Kerry field coordinators.
Sounds like they want to start covering the city w/signs!
Suspect that if you stop into a field office you'll get your sign-
those of you that tried before know they were often out of
signs.

I will confirm this sometime on Friday.

Milwaukee field offices are at:

Wisconsin's Kerry Field Office: 2040 W Wisconsin Ave 414 344 1511

North Side Office: 3967 N. Teutonia Ave (Teutonia & Capitol) 414 874 5140

2. So, folks,
how'd your big signage blitz work out? I'll be VERY interested to know if anything happened in the other cities. All that happened in Madison was that people were turned away from the office all week long, told that they couldn't get signs until Saturday, and then the entire system (loosely termed) fell apart. I don't know how many people actually drove to downtown Madison, tried to find a parking place right next to the square during the Farmer's Market, plugged the meter, went upstairs to the Kerry office, and picked up signs. And I'd be interested in knowing what time of day they ran out of signs! :(

Sorry to sound so negative, but when someone from 20 miles away is there, asking for a sign, she's not too happy to be told that, despite the fact that the signs were there, in the back room, she'd have to come back in two days to get a damned sign. x( (and no, that wasn't me - I bought my signs from an online resource)

4. That's unfortunate!
This sign thing is really turning into an albatross. The Kerry/Edwards campaign in Wisconin has been working hard to earn an A+ in activist turnoff. Not to mention the high marks in WTF. Just imagine the support they'd have if they could get their shit together.

5. hah, high marks in WTF...
that's funny

Thank goodness our grassroots people are awesome. One of the people I work with periodically reminds me that it's John Kerry and John Edwards who will win this election, not the staffers. It would be nice if they would have a little HELP, however!

Jeez, the other day an email said that we have 100 staffers in the state! Now, staffers were moving OUT of Virginia, and their numbers are moving more blue... do you think we ought to start shipping the staffers off to Canada?
