1. Haven't heard much lately
Incumbency is supposed to be a great advantage here (last defeat for an incumbent justice was 40 years ago, I heard) but that could evaporate with a couple million dollars of TV ads and direct mail. Since the third candidate dropped out, it does change the dynamics a bit because they don't have to prepare for a primary.
