I just saw 2 Kerry Supporters on the corner |
|
of 60th and Vliet in Milwaukee. Two women holding a very large Kerry sign on the corner and smiling the smiles of winners!
Whomever you two ladies are, you are wonderful!
I honked at you from the green truck and gave you the thumbs up!

3. In Ohio, we call it "visibility." |
|
We have at least ONE event every Friday evening (we try to hit the folks coming home from work).
This coming week we have an event planned for both Thursday and Friday. We hold signs that read "Honk for Kerry/Edwards" and the response is terrific. Drivers can pull over near us and buy T-shirts, yard signs, and bumper stickers.
On Oct. 30 we plan a HUGE event, complete with children.
We "girls" in Ohio Women for Kerry have a name for these visibility events: workin' the corner!

I have been wearing a kerry for pres button for the past couple of months and while I hardly ever see anyone who is also sporting some 'kerry wear', I get the thumbs up sign at least once a day!
You'd think more people would be visibly supporting Kerry here in San francisco! ...then again, I work in the financial district.
Here is a funny anecdote; we were in line for the bridge this weekend waiting forever and I was next to the 'fast pass' lane which was empty. A car goes zipping ahead of hundreds of cars and butts its way to the front and the creep had a bush/cheney bumper sticker on his car.
I can't think of a better real-life metaphor for the right(of way) wing!
