Supreme Debate Fri 3/28 Views |
|
We The People run great debates, but this one was too short. 30 minutes wasn't enough time.
I watched it, and if Gableman mentioned his 'endorsements' one more time, I though the citizen panel was going to start throwing things at him! He never answered one question, just kept with his Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce script...it was pathetic to watch him.
Butler won the debate, and explained some of the processes the Supreme Court adheres to. He talked to the panelists directly, while Gableman went off on his attacks, and looked frantically for a camera. Butler kept his cool, talked clearly and in simple terms about ethical campaigning, judicial prudence and cited specific case law.
By the end, I though Gableman's head was going to explode. He got redder and redder as the debate progressed. If Gableman could have he would have started screaming 911, 911 we're all gonna die.
The GOP couldn't find one person, more qualified than Gablemen, in the entire state?

1. Butler shouldn't have had to lower himself to this. |
|
But at least it gave those who cared enough a chance to see the truth.

3. I have to agree, I was shocked at how unable he was to |
|
answer questions... He was focused on another agenda.
