The Next Chair
I've spent a lot of time since moving to Wisconsin learning more about the party structure and such. Today, I went to Beaver Dam for an office opening. It was a nice little celebration. The State Chair, Joe Wineke, spoke. He did well, but when I was talking to some of the volunteers, a subject kept coming up and up again and again-- who is going to replace him?

I didn't realize that in Wisconsin that being State Chair is a fulltime job. Do they actually get a salary or is it reserved for someone who has lots of money? Who do you think it will be? When does the election take place? They said Joe wanted to step down in November, so is that when this all happens?

Sorry for the questions. Just wanting to keep myself as informed as possible. The party operations in Wisconsin is fascinating because I've learned we in the county parties actually get to be heard.
