AG, prosecutor to form election team |

MADISON (AP) — The state Justice Department plans to join forces with Milwaukee authorities to investigate election fraud.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen and Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm plan to formally announce this morning they’ve created a task force. The team will include state Division of Criminal Investigation agents as well as investigators from the Milwaukee Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit.
Van Hollen is a Republican. He promised during his 2006 campaign to crack down on election fraud by creating teams to police the polls.
Last week he sued state election officials, demanding they check the identities of up to a million voters who have registered since Jan. 1, 2006 by the Nov. 4 election.
The software to conduct such checks just came online this past Aug. 6. The state Government Accountability Board ordered local election clerks to check the identities of registrants from that date on. Van Hollen’s lawsuit argues federal law mandates the checks go back to Jan. 1, 2006.
Chisholm is a Democrat. He and Van Hollen are calling their task force bipartisan.
Chisholm’s office is currently investigating allegations nearly 40 voter registration workers running drives in Milwaukee turned in cards they filled out themselves.

He kept saying "the reality is..." until it drove me crazy. Is this some sort of GOPer thing? I remember other ones doing it too. Trying to make falsehood true?
