Can't eat raw fish anymore.
For anyone who's interested in yummy new places, try Cafe Manna at Brookfield Rd and Capitol.
FABULOUS vegetarian stuff. We like the veggie sammich.

You can roll your own with vegetables or cooked fish (which I suppose you can also order at a restaurant, but there's no chance of cross-contamination with the raw fish if you do it in your own house and there's no raw stuff there in the first place.)
I've done tons of veggie maki, california rolls, and some shrimp tempura maki.

6. I"ve thought about it... |
|
cuz I love California Rolls, but r. hates it. So there goes that idea.
I used to just be able to pick up a ready made tray at the Tom Thumb or get him to go to the Japanese steakhouse where he could get tempura and such, but no more...

3. How raw does it have to be to be |
|
sushi? I still eat a lot of homemade pickled fish but eating plan old raw fish is not appealing. This is why Prometheus gave fire to humans, so they could cook the fish. :-) And in Wisconsin of course to batter it and deep fry it in grease.

4. "Sushi" actually refers to the rice. |
|
Cooked fish can still be used with sushi.
"Sashimi" is the fish.

don't know for sure-waukesha confuses me
Sonic Drive-In may be coming to Waukesha Waukesha - The area's first Sonic Drive-In may open in a new shopping center under development on the west side of Waukesha.
Architectural plans for the restaurant will be unveiled to the Plan Commission on Wednesday. It would be built in the Shoppes of Fox River, 1200 W. Sunset Drive.
A Sonic staffer said the closest Sonic to Waukesha is west of Chicago.
The commission also will examine plans for a new Pick 'n Save store at the Shoppes.
