Sinclair successes - patronize these advertisers please!! |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 12:30 PM by ClassWarrior
I contacted a variety of Milwaukee-area WVTV & WCGV advertisers (maybe 20) pulled together from a variety of sources - including the other thread here - and made the case on Sinclair. I got responses from several.
Kessler's Diamond Center said they've gone off television for other reasons. They added, "We believe in keeping our political views to ourselves, however, we also believe in doing our part to help maintain the integrity of the political process. Now that this issue has surfaced, we will have to give it real consideration should we ever decide to re-enter the local TV advertising arena."
Menard's said, "We never have and agree not to be involved in any advertising for biased political shows."
Cousin's welcome reply was to-the-point: "Thank you for contacting Cousin's Submarines, Inc. Your opinions are important to us. Please know that we have removed all advertising from the Sinclair owned television stations in Milwaukee."
It's working! We're having an effect! Show your gratitude - be sure to patronize these fine, responsible corporate citizens.
And please post YOUR success stories here too, so your fellow WI DUers can show their appreciation!

Broadway Paper was listed as a featured advertiser on Channel 24. I wrote to them and got a very favorable response. They said that they were pulling their ad immediately. So, shop, shop, shop!!!
