I just realized that if/when Obama is elected, we will have a Midwesterner in office for the first time, I believe, since Eisenhower. Is that right? Everyone since has been from the East or the West or the South or Texas. Feels great!
edit: I know that Ford was from Michigan. But I don't count him because he wasn't elected.

Having a president who understands the importance of the Great Lakes, farming, ethanol, vanishing jobs, etc. It's been sooooooo long.
