1. kerry WILL win wisconsin
by virtue of milwaukee and madison alone

here in the milwaukee congressional primary, we had a candidate that showed 25% in the polls win with 67% of the vote thanks in no small part to the work we (America Coming Together) did on her behalf

2. ACT, et al, have been fantastically successful registering voters in Penn.
There has been a voter registration drive in Ohio that has yielded a "good" number of registrations in the Democratic northern counties of Ohio. It has not been as overwhelming, though.

3. I pretty much agree.
I'm assuming at this point that Ohio is looking pretty good. Only one or two polls this week has shown the Chimp with any kind of lead there, while it seems like a gazillion have come-out favoring Kerry.

I think we need to win:
- Ohio
- New Hampshire
- Wisconsin OR Iowa
- Nevada OR New Mexico
- the rest of the Gore states

If we do this, we end-up with either 274 (IA scenario) or 277 (WI scenario) in the Electoral College.

4. I am very optimistic Wisconsin will go to Kerry
There is rage in the hinterlands on top of the wave of support for Dems in Madison and Milwaukee. I live in a 60/40 puke county but the Dems are motivated like I've never seen before. The republicans will "go" to the polls but the Dems will swarm them. I'm really looking forward to election day because I think the pukes will get slapped back and hard.

Most of the polls are calling it close, but they've been hosed all summer. Trust me. Wisconsin will go for Kerry.

5. Progressive Vote
We're doing what we can to get the progressives to vote Kerry even though he's wrong on almost all the issues. Nader is here next Tuesday; Cobb was here last month but I don't think they'll sway anyone.
I had to vote Kerry just to keep my overtime or I won't have any extra cash for any kind of activism.

There's more labor involvement than we have ever seen in this area of the state so, hopefully, those folks will vote.
