Memorial donation
This is Goddess40s' mom. A good friend of mine died recently. She was a Democrat who lived with a Republican husband, a good guy, but a Republican. The announcement of her memorial service asked people to give to their favorite charity in lieu of flowers. So I gave the county Democratic Party $100 in her name and I know she would have been pleased with that.

Those local donations go directly to helping local candidates and supporting the local group. Seems like a nice way to remember a good friend.
