Has Milw. Journal Sentinel made a pres. endorsement? |
|
I've been checking the Web for it since Sunday (lots of papers published theirs then).
Anyone know when/if the J-S endorses?

1. In years past, they've endorsed on the Sunday before election. |
|
I wasn't here in 2000, but I think I was told they didn't endorse anyone then.

2. I'm going to call them tomorrow |
|
and see if an endorsement is coming.
I would imagine it would be Kerry. I would be shocked if it wasn't.
Or not at all, of course.

3. I heard an interesting discussion on WPR a few weeks ago. |
|
..or was it WTMJ?
Questions about Kerry meeting with the Journal editorial board. Someone commented that "if the endorsement were up to the editorial board, there's no doubt it would be Kerry; however, there's apparently some question about the publisher(s?)."
I'm also waiting for the Capitol Times endorsement.

4. Indeed it would be Kerry |
|
since Bush was also invited to meet and didn't even bother to show up.
Speaking of which, anyone hear about how Kerry stopped in Cuba City during the summer, right after Bush screwed up and drove right by just when they were all ready for him? I guess Bush is trying to make it up to them by showing up this week. Bah, too late dude.

6. The J-S is likely punting. |
|
They've dropped many hints about not endorsing this year. (Since they even admit their own policy is to endorse the incumbent unless they've royally screwed up...a non-endorsement is worse for Bush than for Kerry.)
