WISCONSIN US SENATE RESULTS
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

The DU admins are posting a number of official results threads in the various state forums. These threads are being made available for those members who wish to participate in them on Election Night.

A full listing of campaign results will appear on the DU homepage on Election Night.

This thread is for posting election results ONLY. Please do not use this thread for discussion. There is an entire message board that you can use for discussion. PLEASE PUT THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN THE TITLE OF YOUR POST. Include the candidate names (Dem first, then Republican), the current result, and the precincts reporting, like so:

Candidate A 53%, Candidate B 46%, 38 precincts reporting

There are going to be lots of results threads, and it will be difficult for the moderators to police all of them. If someone tries to disrupt, please hit alert on their post to let the moderators know. If this thread goes off topic, feel free to give others a polite reminder about the purpose of this thread.

CANDIDATES FOR THIS OFFICE:

Russ Feingold (D)
Tim Michels (R)

2. How did it stay that close?
It should have been by a much larger margin.

3. Good Question

But it's not the 6 points Michels was trumpeting all last week. There are still a few precints all over the state still to be reported. My puke county went heavily for Feingold. I can't believe it didn't happen that way all over the state.

Ten points is a healthy spread and I think the largest margin Russ has ever had. Perhaps by morning it will be bigger.

BTW, its late and you have classes tomorrow. Shouldn't you be sleeping?

on edit: I'm heading to bed myself. I have too much to do tomorrow and I'll be wasted as it is.

4. Lot bigger win than last time.
For a Senete race not involving Herb Kohl, this is a huge win.
