Just Voted! How were the lines for you? |

I just voted in Wauwatosa. I got there at 6:30 and ended up being #7 for my ward. When I left, there were about 200 people in line behind me! Great turnout!
Most of the people were smiling and looked happy. So they must be there to vote for President-Elect John Kerry!

Poll worker strolled through and said "this is more people than were here for the whole last election." Turnout, baby! I can feel it.

At least an 1/2 hour wait at 7:15am. It felt good to vote for JK/JE, Gwen, and Russ.

I showed up at 7am, just as polls opened. Lines were long. Alot of people registering at the polls. I ended up being the 125th voter and got out after about 45 minutes. I also saw something I'd never seen before. Around the room, the poll workers had put up signs saying "Please have patience. We're doing the best we can." :) Turn out is going to be huge.

5. Just got back from my polling place |
|
I live in a rural township. Last presidential election they had 277 people vote. They're expecting over 300 today. We got there about 8:50 with the poll opening at 9am but they let us start voting a few minutes early as they were all ready to go. There were about seven cars in the lot before we got there with about fifteen people in line as they started handing out ballots. As we pulled away, several more vehicles pulled in. Seemed to be a lot of energy in the air - people were excited to be there.
I also pre-registered for the spring elections so I'm all set for February and April.

...from my polling place in beloit. I went at 8:00 and I was #1067. lots of people waiting to vote. Usually, in past elections, it's been pretty empty in the school I vote at.

The lot was full and parking overflowing onto the roads when I left at 7:00. They opened the polls a few minutes early and the process was smooth at startup. It's going to be a busy day there.

8. I did some Asking around in Stevens Point.... |

Lots of young voters and UWSP students are going to the polls. The "voter vans" I've seen heading out from campus always have three or four people in them. Once lunchtime comes around, I expect there to be a lot more people in those vans.

9. 30 minute line at 7am in Menasha |
|
Went smoothly. Lots of folks there to vote B4 work. I just drove by again and the line has dissipated.
After voting I went to the local Labor Temple and volunteered to do some last minute labeling and then went out canvassing. I KNOW I got 2 fence sitters to go vote for Kerry. It's not to late to influence others. GOTV. Contact your local labor union hall or Dem headquarters to help out. They will need people all day long.

Voted in West Allis at about 8:30 AM. Had to wait in line about 20 min, which is unheard of in my ward. Usually I just walk in and walk out. It was amazing to see the reaction of people leaving the polls. Big smiles and high-fives. The Bush disaster is almost over!

At 4:00 pm in our little town. There were only a couple people voting at the time . That isn't too unusual. I have been the only voter there before.

No real wait. Most people seemed to be in and out of there in just a few minutes. Pretty easy choices this election. :)

15. Wife and I just voted |
|
In our precinct our last number was 755 out of 1230 registered..
but...........
The line to register to vote went out the door and down the sidewalk. I'm guessing 30 people standing in line to register.
We had to wait about 10 minutes but the workers were very thorough and did a great job.......
