I'm elated.......lib radio in C Wisconsin
Our local station (which carries O'liely in the afternoons) has a new show on. Here's the ad:

The Sane Center," a weekly program on WDLB's Insight with Ryan Lindsey will feature a discussion of values and the recent election

Of course, the signal doesn't go much beyond the city limits but I'm really glad to have it here.

On today's show, the "values" discussion quickly became an abortion discussion and a lot of time was wasted on that, but the guest, Cindy, quickly pointed out that abortions go down when the economy is better and that you can be "pro-choice and pro-life" at the same time.... really a good show...I'll be calling in next week.

Cindy Cooke teaches Psychology at Maricopa Community College in Arizona and is author of "From Turmoil to Tranquility." She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Adult Education.
Cindy is an expert on the causes and effects of Amygdala Disorder, a syndrome that lies at the heart of the growing epidemic of emotional distress.

Cindy's first appearance on "Insight" was in Sept. 2004 to discuss her book. Ryan & Cindy noticed a similar point of view on certain Political topics and "The Sane Center" began shortly thereafter. Learn more about Cindy Cooke at www.mentalmakeovers.com

I encouraged them to stream their broadcasts.....they're quite good together.

I heard rumors that Air America was coming to Stevens Point 1010 WSPT and I can pick that up! Hoping.

4. That's great news
I can't believe it. My family's business in Marshfield always has WDLB on. My dad, brother and uncle could use a little education in liberal politics. Though my dad did half-ass confess to me the other day that he turns OReilly off at least occasionally.

What time is this show on? Since I know my family is listening I probably won't call in, but I'd like to listen.

6. Air America over the net
is awesome. If you got to www.airamericaplace.com you can download previous shows in mp3 format, suitable for burning to CD's for listening in the car! I listen to archived episodes at work where streaming is a no-no.

7. Only works on dialup if you do absolutely nothing else.
Tried it for awhile but gave up. I live too far from a really small town to get a faster connection at the moment.

8. Never tried AirAmerica over dialup
but I can feel your pain. I've been addicted to it since it went on the air. It's been too long that we dems & progressives have not have a voice on the airwaves.

It was rumoured that they were going to be on Dish Network, and they are on XM and Sirius radio as well.
