Apparently, Charlie Sykes has gone apeshi* about Sly referring to Condi as an "Aunt Jemimah". Sly apologized today to the REAL Aunt Jemimah by giving away boxes of her pancake mix and syrup on the air. He says she is a fine upstanding person, while Condi is not--he said she was almost a war criminal in his mind.

6. Charlie Sykes IS ape shit

and he stinks real bad! There's no finer example fascist 'victimhood' than Sykes.

He's master of the "what if liberals did x,y or z?" to pretend that the fascists are such poor, poor victims.

Like all "conservative" (fascists) am yappers, Sykes is a racist, a sexist, a religious bigot and a homophobe.

And in fact, his attack on Sly is just "conservative" racism disguised as 'victimhood' at work.

but they archive the show. Berkman is filling in for Ben Merens so you can listen to his show for 4-5 on 11/19.

John Sylvester ("Sly") is a liberal radio show host on WTDY in Madison. He's really outspoken and generally has intelligent reasons to support his arguments. He will accept phone calls from both sides and is not afraid to refute right-wing nutjobs with actual facts.

Tuesday this week, he referred to Condi as an "Aunt Jemimah". Of course, the conservative freaks went nuts. They didn't seem to care when Belling called migrant farm workers in southeastern WI "wetbacks". Hispanics in the area pushed WISN to take Belling off the air and they have done it. Now the Conservatives are going crazy to get Sly out of there, but the blacks in Madison are not all that concerned about this.

Today, Sly apologized to the real AJ and offered her products on the air.

But he did NOT apologize to Condi.

8. So, let's call for a boycott of sponsors of Charlie Sykes.

I heard much of the program in the car yesterday. What I found interesting was when someone mentioned how Sykes is calling on people to boycott sponsors of Sly's show. Of course, most of them have no idea who he is, let alone who the sponsors are. One person said "Charlie should know better - it's very dangerous for someone beholding to corporate sponsorship to be calling for a boycott."

Thus, an idea was born: time to reverse the ploy on Charlie. Any comments?
