Raise the Minimum Wage - Go Tom Barrett
and the Milwaukee Common Council. I live in Kenosha and work for the VA in Lake County IL so a Minimum Wage raise will not affect me in way, but common decency demands that it be raised.

If the GOP jerks in Madison are so dead set against it than it is incumbent on other legislative entities to act (as the city of Madison has done).

I hope Milwaukee does pass a minimum wage hike and kudos to Barrett for offering to sign it, and to hell with the GOP for opposing it.

If you ask me the minimum wage should be no less than $8 an hour.

Any way these are my thoughts. :grr:

1. I'm with you
Anything less of $8 an hour is not a living wage. And I'd like to add that this is why I wanted Tom Barrett for gov. The centrist bullshit Doyle keeps handing out stinks to high heaven.

2. I wish there was a way
Doyle could force the GOP jerks in Madison to get of the dime on this issue.

He should show a little more back bone, maybe a knock down drag out fight with the GOP would be a good think, who knows he/we just might win it.

It's like Chicken soup, "It couldn't hurt".:hippie:

Yeah, like $6 is a living wage. Looks like Doyle and Barrett are taking the lead on this. Hope they get $8.00 at least.
