Could we set up a database on how each WI Congressperson (Senators and
Representatives) voted on the various bills and appointments in Congress. This way we could find out who to support in the next election.
For instance both Kohl and Feingold voted Nay on the 1/6/05 objection to the Ohio electors.

In the House vote on 1/6/05- Democrats- Baldwin,X: Kind,X: Moore, Nay: Obey, Nay
Republicans- Green, Nay: Petri, Nay: Ryan, Nay: Sensenbrenner, Nay

What do you all think?
:hi:

1. Whoa, Kind supported the resolution?
Too cool. He spent most of 2000 and 2001 moving to the center and joining the NDOL. Did someone put something in his water?

To your post, I do like the idea of a database. I dislike using the Thomas Register because you have to look up everything by the bill. A brief synopsis of the bill and a record of the Wisconsin vote would be wonderful to have. The problem is having the time to monitor all the activities in DC and put the information together.

4. Russ tends to do that
his philosophy is that the Pres has a right to his appointees....he may embarrass them but will vote for confirmation.

5. He did a good job of that
along with Boxer, Kerry, etc...

I am ashamed for Norm Coleman during the confirmation.

6. I am so pissed at Russ right now it isn't funny
If he votes for Mr. Torture Gonzales that will be the end of my donations to him.

He knew that CondiLIEza was going to get confirmed but he should have voted against the fascist on principal. When history finally proves her complicity in the genocide that is the Iraq war he will go down as approving it too.

7. Feingold doesn't make votes for political reasons.
He only makes votes on principle. He believes that, in almost all cases, the president should have the cabinet secretaries he wants.

8. Both Feingold and Kohl voted yes to confirm Condoleeza Rice today

At this time I'm pretty disappointed in them. We will see how they vote on Gonzales in the full Senate vote. Feingold and Kohl voted no on Gonzales in Committee.
