Question for Wisconsin DU'ers |
|
I just completed reading Craig Gilbert's piece on Tommy Thompson in today's Journal Sentinel.
If I am reading it correctly it appears that Tommy is mellowing with age (I can understand this as a recovering Republican at age 50).
His idea of Medical Diplomacy seems to me to have merit, and in the last few statements in the story he seemed to indicate that he might hold views that would get him in hot water with the current GOP right wing types.
If any one else has read this I would appreciate any thoughts or comments. Is this the way it looks to you?
If it is what does that mean for Wisconsin? Tommy as a Rockefeller Republican??? Thats what it seem to indicate to me.

1. I never thought Thompsons personality matched Bush's. |

Kind of like Powell. Powell is in a posistion that makes it a lot easier for him to get in hot water though.
I'd prefer a Dem in the whitehouse, but I'd take Thompson over Bush anyday.
