Into the Packer Hall of Fame...

WHY????

He was a mediocre quarterback, at best. I don't recall him ever bringing the Packers to the Playoffs.

3. Didn't he have an affair with Brad Spakowitz
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 06:35 PM by JonathanChance
One of the Green Bay Weekend Weathermen at the time?

He returned to Green Bay after an abscence a few years back.

5. ???????
I remember him introducing his TV show with "It's Magic Time!"....used to puke regularly.....

The only thing magic he did (IMO) was turn an easy reception into an INTERCEPTION!.

6. I Loved The Majik Man!!
No, he didn't go to the playoffs, but he brought us closer than we had been in a while, AND he brought EXCITEMENT to the whole organization. I remember seeing lots of Packer merchandise pop up at that time...

"Cardiac Pack" t-shirts
Majik Man clothes, etc

Plus, he was cute!

P.S. The Pack were very exiting at that time, and their success did a lot to help me through a very rough time in my life.

8. Then again....
I was talking to someone in town today who said that the Majik man never realized his true potential because the offensive line at the time sucked big time.

12. Hey now, don't be talking smack about my Bears.
:D

The Favre era is over. The 20 year suckage cycle for the Bears is just about over too.

RL

p.s. He was OVER the line of scrimmage, and there is an asterisk (*) in the bears records for that game. Majik my arse...

15. chalk that up against a Bears victory
when there was a 15 yard face mask that did not get called in spite of the fact that the play was challenged by the Bears. I think it is bogus to challenge a supposed bad call and not allow a non-call to be included in the challenge. Fact of the matter is if the play I am talking about had been called properly it would have been a Green Bay first down, when instead they had to punt which led to the Bears TD drive which decided the game.
Anyway, that is part of the Majik to give the illusion that you are not over the line of scrimmage when in fact you are. "Woah oh it's Majik..you know...never believe it's not so."

18. Yeah, it's a shame you couldn't challenge back then.
But I always thought his foot was in the air, not downed beyond the line of scrimmage.

Oh, Majik. Leader of the bi-polar Pack.

And watch what you say about Brett (if you value your life!). O8)

17. Majkowski ranks fifth all-time in passing yards in Green Bay history
Majkowski ranks fifth all-time in passing yards in Green Bay history with 10,870 yards and in 1989 led the Pack to their first 10-win season in 17 years.

'Instant Replay game' against the Chicago Bears,"

"That game just had such a significant meaning to the Packer fans because we hadn't beaten the Bears in eight games, in four years. The Bears were always such a dominating team in the '80s, and to finally end the streak of being dominated by the Bears at home, on the last play of the game, in such dramatic fashion really was pretty special.

"To have a touchdown called back and have it reviewed for four minutes, then have the referees reverse the call and to win a game on a play like that - to this day, it's still one of the most memorable games in Lambeau Field's history. So it's an honor to be a part of that. It's great to be remembered by the Packer fans, even if it's for one play. If it's one play, that's better than no plays."

19. 'Cause he got up on stage and rocked with Poison ...
'Every rose has it's thorn' .... at the Brown County Arena.

Yah, I remember seeing him sneaking around Lothario's and Top Shelf with his collar up and a hat on so nobody would recognize him by his hair.

What a freak.
