Kerry will be in Green Bay, Wis., next Thursday and Friday (rally and a town hall meeting) but still only a state spokesman but no statewide coordinator?

In the wake of two visits here in the past month by Republican President Bush and another by Vice President Dick Cheney, Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. John Kerry is scheduled to be in Wisconsin for two days next week.<snip>
Kerry's visits to the state could be crucial because Wisconsin is expected to be one of a handful of hotly contested states in November.
Both Kerry's and Bush's campaigns appear to recognize that. Bush lost the state four years ago to Democrat Al Gore by less than 6,000 votes, and the president spent a full day on a bus trip earlier this month trying to shore up support along the Mississippi River. <snip>
He (Kerry) said there are "number of polls that have shown we moved significantly," most notably a Zogby poll that predicted he will win in November. "What's important are not the polls," he said. "The country is just getting to know me."
