The Progressive Patriots Fund is dedicated to promoting a progressive reform agenda and supporting candidates across the country.

This organization will enable me to be a part of a larger national effort to build the Democratic Party throughout America. I plan to travel across the country, listen to others, speak out on important issues and advance a progressive reform agenda.

1. I love Russ, and thank my lucky stars every day that he speaks for people
more often than for corporations. He was also the only one with enough cajones to vote against the Patriot Act...and he's spot on sexy!;)

2. This is excellent
Which other Senators have publicly said they are not voting for CAFTA? I know Kerry did, I'm sure Boxer will. Who else?

3. They don't have the votes
People are worried about their jobs, and feel congress is out of touch with the people.People have seen the devastation from prior so called free trade agreements. They won't forget the people who pass this one.I don't think they will pass it.

4. Now that free trade affects more folks than "just" blue collar
people are starting to care a little more. The labor unions of manufacturing workers and Senator Feingold were pretty much alone in the fight against Clinton's NAFTA, but now that desk, software, medical, architecture, etc. jobs are going overseas, people are starting to pay attention. The same folks who told manufacturing workers that they would just have to retrain or get service jobs are now watching their own jobs go to China, so it's a whole new ballgame.

It's still infuriating to many trade unionists that so many Democrats laughed off trade concerns as uneducated paranoia. I'm thankful that Feingold has been a consistent ally of working people.
