Nancy Nussbaum announces canidacy for 8th CD. |
|
http://wbay.com/Global/story.asp?S=3613274&nav=51s6cJZ0 Former Brown County Executive Nancy Nusbaum says she's ready to take her 15 years in local government to a new level. She announced her candidacy for the 8th Congressional district seat.
"I think we're going in the wrong direction. Most people I know do. I'm the kind of person that can't stand by and watch a problem and not try to roll up my sleeves and get it solved," Nusbaum said.(snip) She's going to be a Democrat running in a heavily Republican district. She doesn't think that's going to hurt her chances, though.
"We don't take well to labels here. We're much more about being independent thinkers, and that will serve well in Washington, I believe, where people get shoved into cookie-cutter molds and are asked to toe the line."

2. Oh, as a Democrat, this time? |
|
Koresh, it must have been 1994 the last time she ran for that seat, as a Republican, back then. Of course, that was when she was the DePere mayor and not the former Brown County executive.
We'll see. There was some clowd of controversy when she left her county executive seat, wasn't there?

3. I think Nancy will be an excellent candidate |
|
She came to one of our Dem meetings four years ago as a speaker. She did a wonderful job. I couldn't detect a moderate bone in her body then or since, but she could surprise me. This is a rather moderate district from what I can tell.

I like Jamie Wall. He was real nice and personable at the State Party Convention. It may be a hard choice.
