6. That statement kind of surprised me

Voting fraud just doesn't occur to me. We have a pretty clean system, simple and straightforward.

I know that Americans have good reason to worry about their own elections, but it would be a complete shock to me if there were fraud of any kind.

Why? Because there's just no money in becoming a Canadian politician. We don't see millions of dollars flying around in individual races. No candidate TV ads (the government gives free air time to political parties anyways). Hardly any signs around.

We're rather quiet about the whole thing. There's a sort of reverence for it.

We don't see a lot of excitment on election day.
