"The former Ontario Provincial Police officer who killed a protester during a native occupation at Ipperwash Provincial Park in 1995 has died in a car crash.
Kenneth Deane was scheduled to testify within weeks at the judicial inquiry into the death of Dudley George. Police said on Sunday that Deane was killed Saturday when his vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer near Prescott in eastern Ontario."

i'm guessing a suicide.

2. The timing is remarkable

Knowing more details about the accident would help in determining whether or not it might have been a suicide (e.g. whether the car drifted over the centre line and hit the truck or vice versa).

..........a not to be trusted, right-wing CanWest rag said that it was a rear-ender. A passenger, from a city close to Rosewell, NM was sent to hospital.....hmmmm????
