Protest over government's actions in Mideast crisis
Prime Minister Stephen Harper may have gained brownie points from some for picking up Canadian evacuees from Lebanon in his personal jet, but a protest Saturday showed he hasn't impressed everyone.

Harper was roundly criticized for the government's position on the growing crisis in Lebanon as about 2,000 people took to the streets to call for an end to the violence.

Much ado about nothing. Just get used to it. Doesn't matter who is in power, the policy will be the same.

1. Good article, I am glad protests are being held, there was even
one in Calgary, the bastion of the faux cons.

2. There seem to be a lot of anti-immigrant letters in the papers lately
And the mouth-breathers like Lorne Gunter are perilously close to hate speech on the issue of dual citizenship. I sense some desperation among the right wing, trying to foment a backlash. It indicates that they have misjudged things immensely, in my opinion.

3. I agree, some of the more extremists have totally misread this
and thought it would be a good time to, as bush says "catapult the propaganda". What it really does is slap some tar back on the former Reform party as to their bigotry and racism, imo.
