CBC: 2 Canadian soldiers killed in Afghan ambush

Two Canadian soldiers were killed in southern Afghanistan on Saturday after militants ambushed them with rocket-propelled grenades and gunfire.

Three soldiers were also wounded Saturday afternoon in the battle in Kandahar province, Canadian military officials said. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

It's all sad, but that just makes it sadder.

The Canwest article I read today said there were four separate ambushes in a short space of time along this road. These troops are just ambush fodder - "leadership units" so Harper can boast about how tough a leader he is.
