MP Garth Turner suspended from Conservative government caucus
OTTAWA (CP) — Maverick MP Garth Turner has been suspended from the Conservative government caucus.
Government House leader Rahim Jaffer says the outspoken Turner was ousted on the recommendation of the party’s Ontario caucus after he made one too many attacks on the prime minister and too often violated caucus confidentiality.

1. Tories give Turner the boot
Ontario caucus chair Gord Brown told the Star that the media probably “enjoyed” getting information from Turner from inside caucus but that made it impossible for MPs to have frank and free-flowing discussions about issues.

“I can’t answer the question as to why this happened now. I would certainly recommend you might want to talk to Doug Finley, director of political operations for the Conservative party, to shed some light on that.”

Seems like maybe they are having leaks. So information is getting out that they don't think should have gotten out.

Hmm... Have to wonder who is sleeping with whom?

Or perhaps it is just the Finley guy?

Now, where are all those red tories that wanted to make a difference by being on the inside?

2. I'm sick of these "frank and free-flowing discussions" arguments

MP's are public servants and are only supposed to be discussing public matters in a public forum.

Unless it concerns necessary security arrangements, there should be no secrets, no hidden agendas and no expectation of concealing anything.

3. That's Turner, Stronach and Brison
Losing 3 influential supporters within a couple of years doesn't say much for his leadership skills, in my opinion.
