America needs a party like the NDP.

I beginning to wonder if the Democrats keep playing the mushy middle they will be irrelevent as a political party. America needs it's own equivalent of the NDP. Tommy Douglas was a great man. I am still beyond belief to why some Americans are so afraid of socialism. They always equate it to communism. That is not always so.I would love to see a party emerging from the disgruntled left leaning Democrats and those who are Socialist in America. They could call it the NDP-USA.

Canada's third party. They are to the left of our Liberal party. They have never been in power on a federal level, but they have greatly influenced social policy.
