Boycott America and all things American
If 59,000,000+ people think by hoisting the biggest insult every hoisted on the world is without consequences, you should demonstrate them wrong.

In 4 years I'd like to see people SO disillusioned with indiscriminate tax cuts and war-mongering republicans that they don't hit the White House again for a generation.

3. Hey, why don't we take over Cuba after Fidel kicks it?
We'll swap houses with the Cubans and take over their island? Okay, maybe some other island. ;-)

6. As much as it scares me to go through it....
I think an international boycott or international sanctions might get through to many Americans. I am wondering if it would get through the fundies that think that the world is against them and that God's on their side though. OTOH, it might teach them that people are in charge of the earth and not God.

7. Been doing it since he first got selected
as much as possible. Unfortunately we don't grow oranges in Québec.

And now that Fidel has banned the greenback, I can get rid of my last US$s.

10. I always have, always will boycott companies that support Republicans
We absolutely refuse to eat at Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell.....will only purchase/drink Coke (no pepsi).

(of course, none of that is a loss to us in any way)

James Carville taught me that in his book "Stickin".

11. Boycott American-made
Hell, I'm doing it, and I live here. Red state-made anyway. No more Florida OJ. If you go over to the MN forum you can see someone who is compiling a list of *-loving businesses to be avoided. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=160x4074

12. No offense, but that isn't right.

Some of these red states are almost as divided as America itself. It's just that Bush technically got more votes in the end. If you're going to boycott, you should just boycott all of American made products.

It's now down between red states vs. blue states. It's between individual Americans up against each other. If it was as easy as you suggest, the blue states could all become their own country.

Oh, the joys of an electoral college, which makes sure about forty something percent of NC's vote doesn't count because over fifty percent voted for Bush. How did all or most of one state become messed up just because it technically turned red? Same with the US. About only half of us are messed up. If the boycott is going to be done, it should be done nationally.

It also needs to be agreed up people throughout the international community so they can pressure their leaders.

13. Don't forget to call your financial manager and have them
divest your portfolio of any current American holdings. I talked to my broker yesterday and she said that as a company they have already reduced investments in the USA by 5% across the board....and more to come.

14. I don't know about this..
Boycotting everything American is not good. I understand why this may seem like a good idea but putting more Americans out of work is not right. A boycott should be specific and targeted towards companies who are repuke donors and supporters. As for the Red States - some may turn blue yet! I think that compiling a list of companies that should be boycotted is a great idea and remember it is always important to communicate to the company why you are boycotting them specifically. Just a thought.

15. Boycott
If you want to boycott Bush specific companies - see my signature. As for the rest, I avoid American products as often as I can. I know there are good Americans and I too hate to see them suffer, lose jobs etc, but from a practical standpoint. The less money they get , the less the Govt. gets in taxes and the less money the Govt. has, the fewer bombs they can by. If the Bushies run out of money, they'll eventually have to stop their aggression.
