Looking for a job in Canada |
|
How would I go about it? In the US, I'd go to Monster.com. What do Canadians do to find Canadian jobs?

if you are canadian, I REALLY hope I don't bump into you there. If you're from the states, I'll be really glad to be leaving you behind....

6. I take it from your response you consider yourself one of the two.. |

Truth hurts. Run away from something that hasn't happened yet if you think that's neccessary. I'd prefer to see you stay and fight for your country. The draft won't exactly sneak up and bite you in the a$$. They won't come and get your children in the middle of the night. If you leave completely, you're handing the country over like a lamb to the slaughter.

7. Just wake up from your dream? Cranky from being roused? |

They HAVE been taking the children, and the adults, and flying them into the ME. They're putting our people in harms way every day. Not to mention the damage they're doing to them by turning them into their murdering proxies. Do a just a little looking around and you'll find they're planning a draft to start next year. Where have you been these past three years?
I don't give a hoot if they come to get me. "But don't mess with my kids. I have to assume that you don't have kids. If you did, you'd be planning for their survival. Your preferences don't mean a thing to me in the face of my children's safety.
This country is already in the charnel house. Maybe I'll come back to help clear out the stink when my kids are adults.

welcome to DU! You must be on one of the coasts cause I've been looking in Ontario for months and find it pretty slim pickings.

My wife (a nurse) came here on a NAFTA permit in June-2001. We married in Sep-2003 and she still hasn't filled out all the landed immigrant application forms yet. I've been pushing here a little, but likes to procrastinate and she hates paperwork.
The funny thing is that she would like to move back to the USA in a couple of years to be closer to her family. I told her I'd consider if Bush lost. She's pretty much apolitical (but voted for Kerry anyways), but finds it hard to deal with snide comments about America and its culture. Torontonians can be real snobs at times. I'm biding my time her, but I'd prefer to stay here while * is in the White House.
As for the job market, Ontario's economy is pretty strong right now. I work in the financial sector and because of the regulatory environment (licensing issues) it's hard to get a good job without the qualifications.
