Come on Canada. Give Bush a welcome he will never forget.
So the Bush Monkey is coming to pay Paul Martin a visit. I hope you come out to the streets in droves and bother him wherever he goes. Give him hell!

I think it's funny that Bush's handlers called "no" on Bush speaking at the House of Commons. Are they afraid Jack Layton will heckle him or what?

The only thing I hope for though it's highly likely not going to happen is Bush geting arrested the second he sets foot on your soil. The downside of it is that it may give the neocons down here an excuse to invade Canada.

2. well, two of us will be there

It seems that everyone else is in the wrong place, or it's the wrong time ...

I'm sure there'll be droves for us to join when we get there, though.

;)

3. Believe it or not...
...there were actually posts on Free Republic (one of which I copied and pasted into one of my DU posts) saying that Canada had better be on their best behavior or we would "teach them a lesson"...something to that effect.

So I don't know how serious you are regarding the comment about Freepers invading Canada, but they've already discussed it. Seriously.

You're right on the House of Commons, too...it was to protect Emperor Bunnypants from those mean hecklers.

It's the same as the situation with the NAACP a while back: they were "critical" of Bush, so he refused to talk to the NAACP. Bush got heckled in Australia, so he's going to "punish" any potential rapscallions in Canada in advance. Yeah, I know, it makes no sense to you, just like it makes no sense to me, but it makes perfect sense to our High Lord Emperor Bunnypants II.

Everywhere he goes it's that "my way or the highway" crap. Ironically, that's half the reason the Freepers love him...he just smirks and struts his way through the world, making enemies everywhere he goes with that spoiled prep school "kiss my ass" attitude. I'm guessing that the Toby Keith wanna-be idiots that post on F.R. live vicariously through Junior. SERIOUSLY...they're always talking about Bush "kicking ass and taking names."

:puke:

I'm surprised that the citizens of Canada weren't asked to sign a "loyalty oath" before his majesty's plane landed.

4. freepers like to talk as though they're in charge of who gets invaded
blah blah blah. i doubt many of them are even in charge of their bladders.

i hope canadians do what we're too cowed to do here: show bush how reviled he is. protest. throw eggs at him. harrass him everywhere he goes.

actually, i can't say what i really hope happens to him up there. that would be against the law.

5. Cannabian, iverglas...do what you have to do, comrades

As we sit here in Vancouver, powerless to do anything about todays invasion of the zombie fascist and his SS advance team, we're asking you to please scream a few fragrant obscenities for us here out west who couldn't be there.

If you guys attempt to hurl a cream pie in Ihr Fuhrer's general direction, watch out for the F-16's...these freaks have no sense of humour. No sense of tradition, either!

edit: spelling

7. not powerless!
Find your location
http://www.acp-cpa.ca/en/NOBUSHCANADA.htm
and show up!

Bush is as likely to hear you as he is to hear anyone in Ottawa or Halifax ...

Vancouver, B.C.

Mark your calendar to welcome George Bush!

The U.S. president will be making an official visit to Ottawa November 30-December 1. The call has gone out across the country to organize actions.

In Vancouver, the StopWar coalition will be helping to organize two
mobilizations on Tuesday November 30:

---Rally with B.C. Federation of Labour Delegates
Tuesday, Nov.30, 12:00 noon at Canada Place, 12:30p.m. at U.S. Consulate (Pender and Thurlow)

---Evening Rally: War Criminals Not Welcome Here! Say no to Bush, war and occupation.
Tuesday, Nov.30, 5:00p.m. at the Vancouver Art Gallery (Georgia and Howe)
Lots o' choices, even for those who can't get off work for the occasion. ;)

8. I know...I meant "powerless" as in "can't be within shouting distance"
There's lot's of events going on here, including an alt-punk-Celtic-style piss-up we're going to at a union dance hall on the East Side tonight after all the protests are over.

I've shaken Bill and Hillary's hand in Portland, OR back in 1992, again in '96 in Vancouver (I loved Bill, mojo and all...), and I just would have liked to "get close" to this little freak for posterity!

That's what I meant by powerless.

9. I know!

But if you think the folks in Ottawa/Halifax are going to get within spitting distance, or even shouting distance, of his imperial travesty ...

One just hopes that the folks in those places aren't so frustrated by the so-near-yet-so-far-ness of him that they go to any extreme and quite pointless lengths to attract his attention. He ain't listening, and he wouldn't be listening if one were standing on his foot and he could read one's lips. These events are for the attention of the world, not the shrub.

11. We got pretty close in Halifax
The police allowed demonstrators within about 75 yds. of the entrance to Pier 21. Chimpy could have seen and heard us if he hadn't sneaked in the back door...
