Sorry Everybody
Toronto dropped the ball last night. I went to the candlelight vigil at
the US consulate and I was a little late, and alot of people did go to
Ottawa and some to Halifax, but there were at the height 70 people there (or I'm told that was the number before I arrived) and when I got there it was more like
30-35 which is sad because there were 3 television and 2 radio stations
there. So, sorry from Toronto.

3. Any idea why?
Was it because of bad weather, or maybe Canadians have given up hope of ever changing the mind-set of Americans?

Thank you for going. Its heart warming to know that people from other countries are with us.

4. Well...it ended early because
It started raining, which kind of puts a damper on a candle light vigil. But never doubt that there are people in the world who are with you http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EarthU/

6. Nobody showed because..
We know protests don't mean anything to Bush.

Martin already knows how Canadians feel about Bush. why do you think he spread the visit around with all the premiers and opposition?

Had it been Clinton it would have been the Martin Clinton show.

For starters, you're not the superpower here.

I know what it's like to be at a protest or a rally where there isn't a large crowd. Sometimes, people don't realize there's a big problem yet. Sometimes, there's rain. :) You always know who is a die hard for a cause when they stand out in the rain. LOL.

We're sorry that Bush will probably visit again as the president in the next four years.

But thanks for coming out. Really. I realize you probably meant that for the Canadians here (because this is the Canadian forum), but I thought I'd say that anyway.
