Alberta MLA kicked out of Tory caucus over health spending spat
A Tory member of the Alberta legislature and former provincial cabinet minister has been kicked out of the government caucus over a health-care spending spat.

Fort McMurray member Guy Boutilier has been asked to leave caucus after he made public complaints over funding delays for a long-term care facility in his constituency.

Government spokesman Paul Stanway said the move came late Friday after Boutilier met with Premier Ed Stelmach.

Honest Ed has a problem. And it appears that it isn't only with seniors.

1. Yep, poor Ed...
Even his supporters think this stinks. I was reading the comments posted under the article and this one made me laugh out loud:

bought a new GMC Sierra and returned to the dealer yesterday because I
couldn't get the radio to work.
The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated.
'Nelson,' the salesman said to the radio.
'Willie!' he continued and 'On The Road Again' came from the speakers.

Then he said, 'Ray Charles!', and in an instant ' Georgia On My Mind'
replaced Willie Nelson.

I drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time I'd say,
'Beethoven,' I'd get beautiful classical music, and if I said,
'Beatles,' I'd get one of their awesome songs.

Yesterday, some guy ran a red light and nearly creamed my new truck, but
I swerved in time to avoid them. I yelled, 'YOU IDIOT!'

Immediately the radio responded with, ---
"Ladies and gentlemen, here to explain his health care changes, Alberta
Health Minister Ron Liepert"

2. Great
Find.

Honest Ed will have a hard time taking hits like that.

He introduced a tax on alcohol and tobacco a few months ago. Then he turns around and has to start clamping down on spending.
Then he sys I will not raise taxes and removes the tax on alcohol. But conveniently leaves the tax on tobacco.

Complete straw in the wind this guy is.

3. I was listening to the local radio last week and the callers were..
commenting on this, mostly on the tobacco tax and at that time it looked like he was going to remove the tax on tobacco as well. I haven't heard anything on it since.
