Canada crowned world champs
CBC SPORTS ONLINE - Call it a Canadian sweep. Team Canada crushed Russia 6-1 Tuesday night to win the world junior men's hockey championship, the lone international title to elude the national program – until now.

Canada now has no peer in international hockey, having won the men's, women's and junior men's world championships as well as both the men's and women's Olympic tournaments.

Canada simply overwhelmed the Russians from the outset, scoring in the opening minute and later breaking open a close contest with four goals in the second period of Tuesday's gold-medal tilt before a pro-Canadian crowd at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.

Ryan Getzlaf and Jeff Carter had one goal and two assists apiece for Canada, making its fourth consecutive appearance in the championship final yet seeking its first gold medal since 1997 – the last of a five-year reign as world junior champion.

6. ve crushed zeem like bugs
Awesome of course.

The way things should be, it looked dicey in the first period when the Russians got a goal -- if they started the 2nd well it could've been diffrent. But our fellows -- well they crushed 'em like bugs for the next 15 or so minutes -- and then the rest was history.

I don't know how often I'll be able to use this smilies too often so I will now...

Russia you got a royal :spank:.

Toast to the fellas in Red an White: :toast: Cause :yourock:.
