Canada should get out of Afghanistan.
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 05:43 PM by The Crazy Canadian
It's time to pull the troops out. We shouldn't get sucked into this neocon pipe dream of waging war against the Muslim world. The Iraq invasion proved that it's time to get out. We should only send our troops overseas from now on under the UN flag and that's it. Not Nato, not "coalition of the willing", only the UN.

The money we save from getting out of Afghanistan should go towards increased surveillance of terrorist networks in this country to prevent Al-Caida attacks like what happened in London.

Edit: spelling

8. It's one of our more northerly neighbors to the north
like Canadadia is, where their neighborly Prime Minister Mr. John Poutine has endarsed me for Dear Leader. I think Cananda's leader is a General...uh, General General is his name. Yeah I think they both endarsed me, I know I have.
Peece out,
W.

2. Unfortunately
we are sending more troops in.

However I doubt the bombing in London had anything to do with 'Al Qaeda'

5. does Canadia have troops in Kosovo?
Just curious. I think that is also just NATO and not UN.

7. I think there are still troops there.
We should stay there and complete the mission. But future troop deployment should only happen under the UN. Well, that's what i'd like to see.

9. I am really POed at the change of 'mission'
that was not what I believe Canadians 'bought' into. We were there for 'peacekeeping duties under NATO NOT for a back up to the US forces because the bush admin screwed up, as usual, and the truth about Afghanistan is finally filtering out into the mainstream media so a 'front' has to be put into place. It is crap and we should stick to the original mission and NOT put our troops under the command of the US military, imo.
