Pipe bomb found on Wa-BC "Coho" ferry.
Was just on the radio. It was in some guy's pickup's glove compartment.

Sounds like a yahoo from Everett, not Al Qaida.

Still, WTF?!

5. Here's part of the article and picture

U.S. man has been charged with possessing an explosive device after allegedly carrying a homemade pipe bomb in his truck on a ferry to Victoria. The 39-year-old, who lives near Seattle, was stopped when he arrived in the capital on Tuesday night after taking the Coho ferry from Port Angeles, Wash.

Device seized from pickup truck at Coho dock. (Victoria Police photo)
Canada Border Services Agency officers said they became suspicious while questioning the man, who was travelling with his daughter.

They said they examined his truck and found a suspicious device in the glove box – a 7½-centimetre brass pipe that was capped on each end and had a 15-centimetre green fuse-like string glued to one end.

The man, who lives in the Seattle suburb of Issaquah, was to appear in court in Victoria on Wednesday afternoon facing a charge of possession of an explosive device.

When they stopped that guy with the explosives in his truck, attempting to enter Port Angeles. (I think there was some plot against LAX in the works?) Yes, somehow the "slack" Clinton-era security managed to detect and prevent a disaster.

I know someone who used to work for Canada Customs in Victoria's Inner Harbour, and she said that practically every day during the summer they'd be confiscating a banned weapon.

9. So, is Everett
considered Yahoo Central up there?

Just concerned, since I found 2 more genealogy cousins from there. I'm always interested to find out which side of the fence they sit on, but have to proceed carefully each time.

It turns out most of my genealogy cousins are cooler than my dad's own sister. Frightening really.
